Equipments requireded in this experiment are (see Figure 1): Meter stick, knife-edge clamp, 2 hanger clamps, support stand, hanging masses (0.1kg, 0.2kg, and unknown). Laboratory balance. Figure 2,3 and 4 show the examples for part I,II and III respectively.

• Perform the experiment ahead of time!
• Remind students the readings on the meterstick are not values of the levle arm. They need to do some calculations according to the figures on the mannual.
